Since 1983, Dr. Bert Wang has headed Wang NMR Inc., developing custom designs for ultra-high resolution MRI and NMR technology. Dr. Wang brings over 35 years of experience as a physicist and technology leader.
Dr. Wang was a manager of the MFTF-B Magnet System, the largest conducting system ever built. He managed the superconducting magnet system for the STARFIRE Commercial Tokamak Reactor Studies, and managed the magnet system scoping studies and conceptual design for ANL Tokamak Experimental Power Reactor. He served as Project Manager of the Superconducting Solenoid Magnet at Yale University NMR (IPPM), and of the Coal-Fire Facility Superconducting MHD Magnet. Dr. Wang’s professional background also includes 13 years as a Physicist in the Argonne National Laboratory and the Livermore National Lab.
Dr. Wang has published over 220 scientific papers, including many important contributions to the literature in magnetic resonance spectrometer design, magnet design, and development planning.
Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science degree, both in Physics, from Stanford University.
