Marisa Di Donato, M.D.

Dr. Marisa Di Donato is an Associate Professor in Cardiology at the University of Florence, and serves San Donato Hospital in Milan as Director of the Cardiovascular Research Center. She is responsible for Cardiology training programs for medical students and for the training of Invasive Cardiology for fellows. Dr. Di Donato also serves as Consulting Cardiologist for Clinical Research at the Cardiothoracique Center of Monaco.

Dr. Di Donato served as Director of the Catheter Lab of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Florence. Her clinical experience includes over 25 years practicing as an invasive cardiologist.

Her primary research interests include physiopathology of the heart, coronary artery disease, heart failure, hemodynamics, ventricular function, left ventricle remodeling and left ventricle reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Di Donato graduated from the medical school of the University of Parma, Italy. She has presented at major international meetings, and is the author of approximately 150 articles published in prestigious international journals of medicine including Journal of the American College of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiology Review, Current Opinion in Cardiology, and many others.
